  1. What’s the difference between acupuncture and moxibustia?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Acupuncture can only help the flow of Qi through meridians, but not restore the original Qi and Yang, while moxibustion has effects in both aspects. Although there are methods of amplification and reduction in acupuncture, it only works for non-excessive and non-deficient conditions; on the other hand, moxibustion treats conditions whether they are excessive, flawed, hot, or cold.<\/p>\n

    1. Why does moxibustion cure diseases that cannot be cured by acupuncture and herbal medicine?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The \u201cinner Canon of the Yellow Empire\u201d States: \u201cWhen acupuncture and plants are not effective, Moxa must be used.\u201d Acupuncture acts on meridians by stimulating Qi. The more original the Qi body has, the greater the therapeutic effect acupuncture can provide. When the body lacks the original Qi, acupuncture efficiency will be reduced. Often people with poor native Qi also have digestive problems, affecting the body’s ability to absorb herbal medicine. In moxibustia it works without the need for indigestion or potent native Qi.<\/p>\n

      1. How does wormwood help the body?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        \u201cCOMPENDIUM of matter Medica\u201d describes wormwood as follows: \u201cDebris leaves are bitter and sharp, warm when they’re raw, hot when they’re burned and pure Yang nature… when it’s inflamed, AI can travel through 12 channels to treat all kinds of diseases.\u201d With wormwood as a material for moxibustion, it can clean and activate channels and collateral, solve the underlying cold, reduce the swelling and recover the exhausted Yang.<\/p>\n

        1. Why would a moxibustia rebuild Yang’s body?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Qi from burning wormwood is by nature pure Yang. It is able to rebuild Yang from collapse, passing through twelve channels and circling through three Yin channels. With continuous moxibustion feeding, pure Yang from the moxa can penetrate the surface of the body to reach and connect internal organs and force Yang to spread throughout the body. By applying the moxa to Guan Yuan (CV 4), which is located at the intersection of three yin channels along the foot and the conception vessel, as well as in a lower heater containing the original yin and Yang, warm Qi from the moxa could reach the portal of vitality directly fed by the original Yang, which is the driving force for Yang of the whole body.<\/p>\n

The cold not only drains the Yang bodies, but also damages the immune system, causes dysfunction of the inner environment and causes all kinds of pain and chronic diseases.<\/p>\n

            1. Should moxibustion work in certain seasons?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              No. Moxibustion can work at any of the four seasons. Typical delusions include that winter illnesses can be better treated in summer or that spring is more suitable for recurring problems, all relatively speaking. The only time that’s good for moxibusties is the sooner the better. There’s no need to wait for certain seasons.<\/p>\n

                Conditions may deteriorate immediately after treatment with moxibustion. This is a normal reaction indicating battles between vital Qi and evil Qi. When the body lacks a vital source of Qi, it tends to experience more inconvenience. As vital Qi accumulates from moxibustion treatment, the body will expel evil Qi.<\/p>\n
